"41 Times!"
This necklace is for sale on "Made It". There are 4 other necklaces in the style and in different colours and has about 12-15 views each. But for some reason this particular necklace has been viewed 41 times.
I can't work it out.
Now don't get me wrong I love my work and I'm very proud of it, but it seems strange to me that this one, over the others has been viewed all of these times.
The wallpaper that I have used has been patiently waiting to be used since 1974. It was a part of a sample book that my Dad gave me about 7 years ago. I have been waiting for a special occasion to use it and I have used a few sheets to create this selection from the "From the Unexpected" range.
I would like to further these styles into earrings and bracelets as well down the line.
41 times... I still can't believe it.

Shift Keys and Phoning Home
I am about to embark on a keyboard search. I use the actual keys to create pieces of jewellery. They have been successful, and I need some extra keyboards to help out. I have my Mum on "keyboard patrol" and she is mentioning it to family and friends. In one day she found 8, yes 8 old keyboards from Op Shops and is posting the keys to me. I have a feeling though, this will not be the end of it..... I feel a barage of cimputer keys coming my way! YAY.
Luckily I won't be in dire need of any phone books soon, I have a feeling they are going to last a lot longer.

I have had a few sales recently through the web pages and it has been such a wonderful feeling to know that people actually want to buy my work.
With every sale the process of selling becomes more clear and I find another technique to use or feature to add to the experience of making a purchase. It's nice to think that after quite some time and a fair amount of effort it seems to be taking off.

The First Blog
Hi there.
This is the first official blog from Elms Creative.
Elms Creative is a label that I have created in the last little while, the first arm of Elms Creative is the Jewellery Range. Creating jewellery has been a passion of mine for a very long time and the time was finally right to launch the label.
At the present time I have put the different styles into 5 catergories.
"Ruby Femme" - Red makes people doing funny things, it stirs something within people. I would say that even though the range is feminine, it certainly has some balls to it.
"From the Unexpected" - Jewellery that is created from recycled products and inspired by "looking outside the square".
"Edward Hopper & Cape Cod" - Inspired by the light in Hopper's paintings and the ocean.
"Kaleidiscopic Glass" - Pieces that are created from melting glass in a pottery kiln and pieces made of glass beads.
"Tribal" - Stirring the beast within and using natural products, colours and materials.
