She's Back!!! THE ELMS CREATIVE SUPER SALE!!

Talk about a hiatus!
This page is well and truly overdue for an update! As my very imaginative title says, there is a super sale at Elms Creative. I finally have things in order at Elms Creative HQ and can now offer these great deals. (Geez, I sound like Tim from Danoz Direct, and no before you ask, I am not offering steak knives!)
I have finally settled into ol' Toowoomba town to undergo a Bachelor of Education- Secondary at The University of Southern Queensland. It is going well, and I do truly appreciate being a 'mature aged student'. Ten years on top of most of the students in my class certainly has it's advantages.
As for Elms Creative, things have been placed on the back burner... But now that Uni is swinging along nicely, Elms Creative can have some time in the sun.

I am clearing the colection to make room for new stock. I have been feeling inspired by so many things lately and felt I needed to clear the current line before the cupboard spills out defy which way!
I have visited QAG & GOMA recently and have been inspired by the amazing art there, both new and old. If you get a chance, check out the 21st Century art exhibit at GOMA, it is great fun and really allows you to look t where art is heading and what is currently being produced. I always do love looking at the permanent exhibits at QAG, always comforting and you              always notice something different when you visit.

I recently saw "Wicked" at QPAC for the second time and it was great!! It has such a magnificent set and the costumes are just outstanding! I also saw a much smaller production, but still equal in acting quality and entertainment value. "The Ugly One" recently played at Metro Arts in Brisbane, I absolutely loved it! If you ever get the chance to see it, check it out!! It is such a refreshing piece of theatre, it is witty and hilarious and the acting was fantastic as well.
Vanity Fair recently released it's "Hollywood Issue" and it is superb! I have been a fan of both the Hollywood and Music issue for a very long time, collecting the three page covers and this issue is brilliantly shot, sadly the cover is not shot by Annie Liebowitz (my favorite photographer) but she took some of the shots for inside the issue - so all is not lost.

I have also been hired to work on a local private school's production of "Annie", the show goes up in 2 weeks and it is looking great! Pictures will follow in up coming blogs. The 1930's have also been an inspiration as well, it is nice to be involved with glamorous gowns and fashion from the 1930's, What wonderfully aesthetically rich era.
So upcoming jewellery??
We will have to wait and see.... I have plenty of materials to use and I look forward to expanding the Enviro range. "What else can be used as jewellery I wonder?" Results of question in future blogs!!
Well that is it for now, take a look at what's on sale at Elms Creative on Facebook and see if there is anything you like.
Until then fun-sters!
Andreas at Elms Creative HQ.
